Download and Install

  1. Open the Windows App Store – Launch the Microsoft Store from your device.
  2. Search for the App – In the search bar, type “QR Code & Barcode Generator” and hit enter.
  3. Install the App – Click on the “Install” or “Get” button to begin downloading and installing the app on your Windows device.

Open the App and Choose Your Option

  • Launch the App – After installation, open the app from your desktop or the Start menu.
  • Choose Your Option – Upon opening the app, you will see two main options: QR Code and Barcode.

Universal QR Code Creation:

  1. Click the Text Button – To create a content-based QR code, click on the Text button.
  2. Enter Your Content – In the text box that appears, type the content you want to encode (e.g., a message, instructions, or any other text).
  • Customize Your QR Code
    • Change the Color: To modify the color of your QR code, click on the Color button and choose your preferred color.
    • Add a Logo: To insert a logo, click on the Logo button and upload your desired image. Your logo will appear in the center of the QR code.
  • Generate the QR Code – Once you’ve entered the text, click the Generate QR button to create your QR code.

QR Codes for Different Data Types:

1. Connection QR Codes:

  • Phone Number: Select the Phone Number option to generate a QR code that, when scanned, will dial a specific phone number. Enter the number and click Generate QR.
  • Contact: Use the Contact option to create a QR code that stores your contact information. Fill in the details (name, phone number, email, etc.) and click Generate QR.
  • Events: To share event details, choose Events. Enter information like event name, date, time, location, and description. Click Generate QR to create the code.

Website & Links QR Codes:

  • Websites: To generate a QR code for a website, choose the Website option. Enter the URL of the site you want to link to and click Generate QR.

Network QR Codes:

  • Wi-Fi: If you want to share Wi-Fi credentials, select Wi-Fi. Input the network name (SSID), password, and type (WPA, WPA2, etc.) and then click Generate QR. This QR code will allow users to connect to your Wi-Fi network instantly when scanned.

Map & Location QR Codes:

  • Geolocation: Choose Geolocation to generate a QR code linked to a specific location. Enter the latitude and longitude, and the QR code will guide users to that exact location on a map.

Message QR Codes:

  • SMS: To create a QR code for sending an SMS, select SMS. Input the phone number and the message you want to send. When scanned, users will automatically open their messaging app with the pre-filled message.
  • Email: Select Email to generate a QR code that opens the default email app with a pre-written subject and body. Enter the email address, subject, and message, then click Generate QR.
  • WhatsApp: Choose WhatsApp to create a QR code that opens a WhatsApp conversation with a predefined message. Enter the phone number and message content, then click Generate QR.
  • Skype Call: If you want to create a QR code for a Skype call, choose Skype Call. Input the Skype username, and the QR code will automatically prompt the user to start a Skype call with that contact.
  • Instagram: Use Instagram to create a QR code linking directly to your Instagram profile or a specific post. Just enter the link and click Generate QR.
  • Facebook: Choose Facebook to generate a QR code that links to a specific Facebook page or post. Input the URL and click Generate QR.
  • YouTube: Select YouTube to generate a QR code for a YouTube video or channel. Enter the YouTube URL and click Generate QR.

Final Steps:

After generating any of the QR codes above, you can:

  • Save the QR Code in PNG format.
  • Share it directly through social media or email.

Step 1: Open the Barcode Generator

  1. Launch the App – Open the QR Code & Barcode Generator on your Windows device.
  2. Select “Barcode” – Click on the Barcode option from the main menu to begin creating a barcode.

Step 2: Choose Your Barcode Type

1. Retail Barcodes (For products & inventory tracking)

  • Choose one of the following barcode formats widely used in retail:
          UPC-A
          UPC-E
          EAN-13
          EAN-8
          DATA MATRIX
          MSI
          PLESSEY
          ITF

How to Generate a Retail Barcode:

  • Select your desired barcode format.
  • Enter the product code or number associated with the item.
  • Click the Generate Barcode button.

2. Automobile Barcodes (For vehicle identification and tracking)

Supported Format:
   CODE-39

How to Generate an Automobile Barcode:

  • Select CODE-39 from the list.
  • Input the vehicle-related identification number or code.
  • Click Generate Barcode to create the barcode.

3. Logistics Barcodes (For shipping, warehousing, and tracking)

  • Choose from the following formats used in logistics and transportation:
    AZTEC
    CODEBAR
    CODE-93
    CODE-128
     PDF417

How to Generate a Logistics Barcode:

  • Select the required barcode format for your shipping or inventory system.
  • Enter the package tracking number, shipment ID, or relevant code.
  • Click Generate Barcode to create the barcode.

Step 3: Customize Your Barcode

After generating the barcode, you can:

  • Change Color – Click the Color button to modify the barcode’s appearance.
  • Adjust Size – Resize the barcode as needed for your labels.
